Public transport
The public transport system in the Netherlands is very extensive. Throughout the week trains leave every half an hour from stations in Heerenveen and Groningen to Utrecht, Amsterdam and further. The roads in the northern part of the Netherlands are generally free from traffic jams and the train stations have excellent parking facilities. Every town and even the smallest villages are connected by buses.
From airport Eelde there are daily flights to Amsterdam and London (with connections to further destinations) and from Monday to Friday flights to Aberdeen.
