It is sometimes possible to negotiate with the previous tenant for these commodities, and so it is worthwhile enquiring before viewing whether or not the prospective property has tenants or is empty. An administration fee is usually charged when the rental agreement is complete. Rent is always payable on the first day of the month and rental agreements are usually a minimum of 12 months. Termination of the rental agreement usually requires one month’s notice. Shorter term rentals can sometimes be arranged. Heating, water, elevator services and electricity are sometimes included in the monthly rental charge but it is advisable to check before signing agreements.
